AQUA ZEIN

A specifically formulated nonalcoholic ZEIN solution.

DESCRIPTION: A nonalcoholic solution containing ZEIN (a natural, fully edible corn protein) formulated for film coating, glazing and granulated pharmaceutical tablets and for other related edible uses. Two grades are available: Regular and Low Color.

USES: As a general reference AQUA-ZEIN is used in the same manner as our regular ZEIN G-10 solution. N.B. AQUA ZEIN was formulated for the user who must restrict organic solvent vapor emissions.

NOTE: AQUA ZEIN, when properly applied, will produce a film having virtually no color, which is taste and odor-free and has the full strength of a ZEIN film produced from an alcoholic solvent system. ZEIN has been declared G.R.A.S. by the U.S. F.D.A. Since it is an edible protein, it may be used without restrictions.

pH: Alkaline in solution and neutral as a dry film.

SOLID: ZEIN - 14% by weight.

SOLVENT: A vehicle of Propylene Glycol, USP, water and Aqua Ammonia.

PACKAGING: AQUA-ZEIN is packaged in five-gallon white plastic sanitary pails suitable for UPS or truck delivery.
